The conservation easement on this headwater parcel preserves waterfalls and spray cliffs, acidic cove and chestnut oak forests along streams that flow into the Green River game lands. The tract contributes to the conservation corridor in this area, and is part of a significant natural heritage area

EEP’s preservation efforts result from a partnership with the N.C. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. NCDOT is a major contributor of funding on this project.
