Protection of this large tract completes protection of 30 miles of the nationally significant Eno River.
Fourteen species of rare animals, including the federally endangered dwarf wedge mussel, live in this beautiful stretch of river. The tract will be accessible to the public for low-impact recreational uses
EEP’s preservation efforts result from a partnership with the N.C. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. NCDOT is a major contributor of funding on this project.
