Acquisition added nearly 0.7 miles of river frontage to the park, expanding the wildlife corridor along the scenic Eno River, which contains 14 rare species in its waters.
EEP’s preservation efforts result from a partnership with the N.C. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. NCDOT is a major contributor of funding on this project.
