The dwarf wedgemussel occurs in the stream. Beech, tulip tree, sugarberry and American hornbeam dominate this woodland. The forest floor is home to hay-scented ferns and several species of orchid, including lily-leafed twayblade, slender ladies’ tresses and puttyroot. The river also contains the state threatened creeper mussel. |
