This parcel is an addition to the west side of the Caswell County Game Land, the largest remnant hardwood forest in the Piedmont. The tract will be managed by the Wildlife Resources Commission for the benefit of wildlife, plant and aquatic communities and the public.The acquisition helps to ensure the protection of four rare animals, two rare fish and two rare mussels in the streams nearby.

EEP’s preservation efforts result from a partnership with the N.C. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. NCDOT is a major contributor of funding on this project.
