The EEP Watershed Planning section utilizes the consultants from a pre-screened list for various support services required for our local watershed planning (LWP) initiatives. These are qualifications-based selections administered through the State Building Commission that typically result in lump-sum ("not-to-exceed") contracts with the EEP Planning section.
The required services include many LWP-related activities, including: preliminary watershed characterization; detail assessment of field conditions; hydrologic and/or water quality modeling; subwatershed delineation & classification; identification & prioritization of optimal watershed improvement/protection projects to achieve watershed functional goals; constraint/feasibility analyses of candidate projects; watershed management plan development; stakeholder facilitation/coordination; cost/benefit evaluations of projects and project combinations; preliminary project design; and landowner outreach.
The contract timelines for these support services typically range from one to three years in total length, and are scoped out and budgeted on a phase-by-phase basis.
