Water Quality Improvement: All EEP projects must improve an aspect of water quality (e.g., reduce sedimentation or nutrient loading etc.). To achieve the highest level of water quality improvement, project sites are pursued in an EEP Targeted Local Watershed. These are watersheds across the state that EEP has designated as high priority areas for restoration due to water quality concerns. Maps are available from EEP that will help you to determine if a site is located in a Targeted Local Watershed.
