EEP is always seeking sites suitable and feasible for restoration projects. The goal of stream and wetland restoration is to improve water quality, enhance wildlife habitat, reduce flooding and provide recreational opportunities. Unlike other programs, EEP does not disperse grants.
Our restoration process starts with an on-site evaluation of the potential project site. If the site is suitable, EEP will acquire the property, design a project based on a reference ecosystem and then construct and monitor the project.
The guidelines listed on the next web pages are designed to help landowners and natural resource agencies evaluate whether a site is suitable to the EEP. By establishing these criteria, EEP can ensure that its projects will provide ecological benefits in a cost effective manner.
If your project site meets these criteria, please complete and submit a site proposal form for review by the EEP.
